Medical practice IT in Dallas-Fort Worth

8:05. Twelve patients. Every chart has to open.

Ransomware locks charts. Most IT companies keep the backup right next to them. A staffed security center watches every one of your computers, 24/7/365.

We trace missing results and failed transactions, and manage the equipment your staff depends on, from the front desk PC to the scanners and card readers.

  • The equipment on your side of the cloud.

Scanners, card readers, network and workstations.

  • We trace what went missing.

    Missing results and failed transactions.

  • A claims route written down.

Which clearinghouse carries your claims, and what a second route would take.

The EHR blames the lab. The lab blames the interface.

And the interface belongs to a company nobody has a number for. We make those calls. Your practice manager already has a job.

HIPAA, on the IT side

The record is hosted, but the desk, the scanners and the card readers still sit on your network. We check who can get in and what they can reach.

We sign a Business Associate Agreement before we touch anything.

Four rules, one by one
  • Guest access

Guest Wi-Fi belongs on its own network. We test that it can’t reach the computers that hold patient records.

  • Documentation and recovery

We write down what runs where, who has access and how it comes back. Then we test the restore.

  • Daily safeguards

A full SOC watches your computers 24/7/365. Multi-factor sign-in, email filtering, patching, and backups ransomware can’t reach.

  • Audits

We do your yearly security risk analysis and keep the IT evidence ready: who has access, multi-factor, encryption, backups and restore tests, patching, the incident log. When an auditor or your insurer asks the IT questions, we answer them or join the call. We help with the IT policies and staff training too.

What we check first, from the counter to the EHR.

The record is hosted. The desk is still yours.

Scanners, card readers, network and workstations are still yours. An eligibility check times out at the counter while the vendor’s status page says green.

Who carries the claim after you click Send?

In February 2024 the Change Healthcare attack stopped many providers from processing claims, according to the American Hospital Association. We write down which clearinghouse carries your claims and what a second route would take.

Your EHR vendor backs up the EHR.

Scanned documents, the fax archive, imaging workstations and your biller’s spreadsheet may sit outside it. CISA notes that many ransomware variants try to find and delete or encrypt accessible backups. We keep backups separate and test the restore ourselves.

What clients say

Very knowledgeable and timely. Willing to put things in simple terms if you are not a techy individual. Great customer service.

Switching IT companies with twelve patients waiting? How we take over

AI in a medical practice

2026About $112,000 collected that was hiding in the billing data

About $186,000 turned up. Billing staff checked and corrected each eligible claim.

How it worked

An eight-provider practice figured collections were down because insurers were paying less. That’s what everyone assumes. We pulled authorized exports from their athenahealth system, clearinghouse reports, electronic remittances and payer fee schedules, and matched visits to claims, payments and contractual allowances. AI read the denial explanations and grouped problems the normal reports scattered across hundreds of categories. Plain matching rules did the arithmetic. Out came old claims never resubmitted, charges that never reached the clearinghouse, and underpayments written off by mistake. Billing staff checked and corrected each eligible claim. About $186,000 turned up. About $112,000 was actually collected.

How we build it

Hosted records still need a scanner that works.

Which result goes missing every Monday?
