Construction and trades IT in Dallas-Fort Worth

Bids due Friday. Everyone’s on the same drawing. Most IT companies’ version control: “Check your email.”

The estimator, the trailer and the field all open the same current set.

We handle the office behind the job site, from the checks that catch a fake bank change to the files the field needs. When software companies point at each other, we make both calls and tell you what we find.

  • A restore, not a green checkmark.

The backup saying it ran is not getting Thursday back.

  • The office behind the job site.

From catching a fake bank change to the files the field needs.

  • We make both calls.

AI in a construction office

2025About $148,000 collected on change work that never got billed

About $310,000 in possibly unbilled work turned up. About $175,000 in added billings got approved.

How it worked

A midsize general contractor was busy, and several finished jobs still came in with disappointing margins. Management blamed estimating or material prices. We went through Procore change orders, RFIs, field directives, superintendent reports, subcontractor invoices, project emails and Sage job-cost records. AI caught references to extra work, owner-directed changes and field conditions that showed up in correspondence but had no approved change order or bill behind them. That came to about $310,000 in possibly unbilled work. The contractor confirmed entitlement, documentation and notice on each item, got about $175,000 in additional billings approved, and collected about $148,000.

How we build it

Windows Server 2016 security updates stop January 12, 2027. If one of yours runs it, plan the move now. What that means

What we check first before Friday's bid.

A green checkmark is not a recovery plan.

A green backup checkmark says the software ran. It does not prove the files, accounting data and project platform can come back together, in the order the office needs them.

Is everyone using the same drawing?

If the only current drawing is on an unsynced laptop, the office is stuck when a bid or dispute needs it. We can test whether the office and field can reach the same current file.

The email tells your customer you changed banks. You did not.

An email that reads correctly, acted on once, can send a progress payment to the wrong account. It can go unnoticed until you ask why the invoice is still unpaid. If a payment is already suspect, contact the originating bank now.

The trailer needs internet too.

A cellular router or a temporary line at the job site, set up so the trailer’s laptops reach the office files safely, and taken down when the job ends.

Bidding Defense Department work?

CMMC Phase II was suspended on 13 July 2026. The self-assessments were not. DFARS 7012 still wants its safeguards and a cyber incident reported within 72 hours, and with no assessment in the last three years a prime can’t award you a covered subcontract (DFARS 7020).
