Church IT in Dallas-Fort Worth

Sunday, 8:55. Every kid is checked in. Nobody had to unplug anything.

“Unplug it” isn’t a fix. We trace it with whoever looks after your tech, then write the fix down.

Your tech person, staff or volunteer, is already checking the Wi-Fi, the print station and the vendor app. When the check-in vendor blames the label printer, we trace it to the end.

Or ask about your church first. One question is free.
A church lobby on Sunday morning where a volunteer hands a printed name sticker to a dad and his daughter at a working check-in kiosk, while Jack, your BDunn tech, sits in his sunroom armchair at home watching the printers on a tablet. • We work with your tech person.

Staff or volunteer, we trace it with them.

  • The fix gets written down.

    And a fallback gets tested.

  • Check-in that prints.

The check-in app, the label printer and the Wi-Fi, traced together.

Give your IT person a second set of hands.

People rotate through staff and volunteer jobs, and their access stays behind. We help your IT person map who approves what, whether that’s your leadership or a denominational office, and clear what no longer fits. They shouldn’t have to carry every Sunday alone.

Test the pickup label, not the login.

The office printer may not work from the iPad at the door, since Planning Center supports different printers for computer and tablet stations. Check in a child, match a guardian, print the label. Planning Center’s printer list.

Does the stream reach its destination?

A good picture in the booth proves nothing. Start the stream early and watch it on a phone off the church Wi-Fi, the way people at home will. Find the dropout on Thursday, not during the sermon.

Donor records are not recurring gifts.

Before you switch, ask what happens to saved payment methods. Stripe moves card data only to another PCI DSS Level 1 processor, and payment details saved with Link can’t move between processors. Every donor who never sets the gift up again is a gift that quietly stops. Stripe’s rules.

The booth Mac is IT too.

ProPresenter, the stream and the lyrics often run on a Mac in the booth. We look after it with the office PCs: kept updated, with its Apple account and licenses in the church’s name, not a volunteer’s. Mac and Apple support.

Cameras and door locks are on the network too.

We keep them on their own lane, make sure someone can still pull up a recording when it matters, and keep track of who can unlock which door.

What clients say

Billy Dunn and his sons KNOW the IT industry and are always ahead of the changes. We are blessed to be one of their clients.

Switching from another IT company, or from a volunteer? How we take over

AI at a church

2025Sunday tech that doesn’t depend on one volunteer

Average routine fix down from about 25 minutes to about eight.

How it worked

Sunday services ran on a handful of volunteers who understood the streaming computer, audio routing, presentation system and network. When something broke, the fix often interrupted worship or the livestream. We standardized the audiovisual computers, wrote down the operating procedures, and set up monitoring for the network, streaming endpoints, software health and equipment logs. An AI support assistant uses approved technical documentation to walk volunteers through common problems and recovery steps. Critical systems have tested fallbacks. Over a six-month pilot, the average routine fix went from about 25 minutes to about eight. Recovering from a common failure no longer depends on one person.

How we build it

Test the livestream off the church WiFi.
