Has this password leaked?
Check a password against a public list of leaked ones. It runs in your browser.
Try an old password, not one you use today. A retired one or a made-up one works fine. The check is built so the password stays on your device, but an old password is the better habit.
The check runs in your browser. Only the first five characters of a scrambled copy of the password are sent to Have I Been Pwned. The password and the rest of the scrambled copy are not.

What a result does and doesn’t mean
- Found means that exact password has shown up in leaked data, and attackers try those first. If you still use it anywhere, replace it.
- Not found means it was not on this list. It does not prove the password is strong, and it says nothing about your accounts.
- A match does not mean anyone broke into your accounts, and it does not say where the password came from.
- The list is Pwned Passwords from Have I Been Pwned. Like any website, it can see your network address when you check. We never see the password.
No contract. Plenty of reasons to stay.
